How to Setup Analytic Tracking Code in WordPress

Want to add Google Analytics into your WordPress without adding a plugin?

Google Analytics is a good tool which helps your website track the website traffic and gives valuable insights about the visitors.

First, you have to login into your Google Analytics account and then go to “Admin”> Under “Property” > “Tracking Info” > “Tracking Code” and then copy your Google Analytics tracking code.

Next, add the Tracking Code to the header.php file.

Login to WordPress and on the dashboard navigate to “Appearance” > “Editor”. Then under “Templates” section, click on the header.php file

Paste the tracking code that you have copied earlier from the Google Analytics profile before the closing </head> tag.

And you’re done! You have just added Google Analytics to WordPress without having to add a plugin!
